Am I the world’s best at stupidity?

When I was a kid, I dreamed of becoming the best in the world at something.

Now, after eight years of intense research for my book Homo Stupido, I’ve come to a realization: I might actually be the best, not just in the world, but in world history, at studying stupidity.

Which raises an uncomfortable (and slightly ironic) question:

Is it, in itself, stupid to be the best at stupidity?

Maybe.

But it’s also fascinating.

Do you know anyone else who has spent eight years researching stupidity?

Here’s the paradox: never in human history have we lived in a more intelligent yet simultaneously more foolish time than now. That makes the timing of this work… interesting. Possibly even valuable.

So what do you think, is studying stupidity a waste of time, or exactly what the world needs right now?
