The reason is that a lot of people told me that the my website shot down, when I released my new book “The Fall of PR and the Rise of Advertising” as an free download this week. In now time over 4 GB of downloading of the book. I guess that thousands of people downloading which size is only a few MB was fast become a few more gigabytes than any web-host could manage. But now its up and running again so please feel free to download more gigabytes (please report if it shots down again). In other words increase the downloading by spreading the links below. And please report if the site shot down again.

Hi Stefan.
I just started to read your book. I must say I agree on all the things you say about PR-agencies and that they don’t know how to play the game. They are in much worse pit than advertising agencies are. Still, I feel
there’s something called new school PR, which shouldn’t be dismissed. I feel PR can work wogether with advertising only if it’s in sync with the brand’s core values and is really set in sight of having tangable value to the brand’s audience. I feel strongly that this kind of PR isn’t about screwing people or trying to manipulate press. It’s about the same thing advertising and creative marketing communication should and is about. Having a compelling, sticky story people want to engage with.
That’s why I think it’s a bit provolcative to say PR is dying. It’s dying the same why advertising is. Both need to be rebooted.
Cheers,
Kipling

Thanks for great feedback on my book. Controversy is what develop every business discipline there is. Here is an good blobpost done by one of the CEOs at Burson-Marsteller:

Hi Stefan,
I’ve enjoyed reading your book. It’s fun reading. With everybody raving about social media, engagement, etc. I was a little sceptical at first. But I think the book does also what it preaches. It cuts BS and makes good points without unnecessary jargon.
You have new fan.
Cheers,
Mikael
Thanks Mikael, really nice to here that you like my book.
