An avatar is not any logger an online personality it is real person. Dancing at clubs together with others dressed up as their avatar in real life. Its called Cosplay (checkout the amazing photos).

Hi David, it is for real but it sounds unreal.
What a strange phenomenon! I suppose it could be fun if everyone was doing it… a bit like a fancy dress party. You wouldn’t want to be the only one though (unless it was a publicity stunt or you were very drunk!).

its brings the scene from Bridget Jones to mind where she shows up dressed as a tart as she hadnt been told the party was no longer fancy dress.
