More and more users of iPhone are giving up it as a phone, because the iPhone is performing badly as a phone. Some use it as a portable Internet computer and some use it as an iPod in the car. It is not easy to call users of iPhones but they often call me when they are having their iPhone in their pocket (interesting but boring phone calls). I would buy it if it were good as a phone. But the word of mouth about it is “you can do anything with it else than make a phone call.” At the same time most mobile phones are not really good so ones again are Apple superb because of the lack of competition. The question is the iPhone a NoPhone? And would Apple fans buy an iCar even if it were not possible to drive with it?

I would dispute the suggestion – I have an iPhone and it is without a doubt THE most useful phone I have ever had – bar none – and I work in the phone industry so I get to play with them all.
As with most things it is just a case of adopting the right habits and behaviours. With the iPhone one such is to simply click the top right button everytime before putting it down or in your pocket. This disables any buttons on the screen, so it stops those pocket-calls.

Thanks for feedback. I think we will joke about the functions in today’s iPhone in the future; they are only good because of bad competition. I don’t think there is any mobile phone that is really good – in fact the technology is old and doesn’t ad value in consumers life. Most of al today’s smart phones are stupid (you cant call with them – easily). But thanks for input.
I would say that the iphone is great.
Users that cant use it are stupid.
People who don’t understand is afraid.
The afraid will realize and become users.
The users will learn.
And pocket calls will end.
So evidently there are no stupid users only uneducated people that can be thought.
On the other hand S60 platform still kicks iphone but android probably will rule in the end.
Thanks, I agree on that iPhone is one of the leaders but sometimes the leader can get lost, because there is nobody to lead them right when you are the leader. I admire what Apple is doing but at the same time I do see that they are great because the lack of competition.
The iPhone display will not respond to anything else than your fingers (or other skin) which makes it impossible to press the screen it when having it in your pocket, even if the phone is unlocked…
And is it really relevant what people that did not try the iPhone think about it? I think the GUI of the iPhone is the markets best so which other phone is it then possible to make a phone call with?

Hi Kalle, thanks for input about the iPhones output. I will check out the recommendation you did send, good points. I think it is really hard to by an mobile phone today, that function as a phone…. and if I want something that is modern they al feel older old.
